PADI Open Water Diver

  ITINERARY BOOK THIS COURSE

Now is the time to dive into the PADI Open Water Diver course, the most popular dive program in the world! This is your ticket to a lifetime of intense adventure. At Searobin Dive Center, most of our divers begin their diving within PADI's education system with the open water course.

Why PADI Open Water?
As a certified PADI Open Water Diver, a graduate of the most widely recognized and respected diving course in the world, you have the freedom to dive with a buddy independent of a professional.
It's a permanent license, so you earn it for life. If you already tried a PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience or are Scuba Diver certified, you may get credit from these courses to the open water programme. Your underwater adventures can begin as soon as you want with the PADI Open Water Diver video. You can view this at your own pace if you'd prefer and then meet with one of the instructors for further assistance

What do I need to start?
Virtually anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can earn a PADI Open Water Diver certification. If you are between 10 and 14 or have a child between these ages, there is a PADI Junior Open Water Diver program available.
Junior Open Water Diver students must be at least 10 years old.

What will I do?
Throughout the course, you'll learn fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques. You earn this certification by completing five pool dives and knowledge development sessions in Koh Samui followed by making four open water dives at prime location around Ko Samui.PADI OPEN WATER DIVER

How long will it take?
3 Days - all days based in Koh Samui
Our dive school's PADI Open Water Diver course lasts only three days for a group size of maximum of 4 people. In order to complete all the class room material and the confine water exercises in one day we have to limit the group size to 4 divers.
PADI programs are performance based. You proceed as you demonstrate mastery of the scuba skills taught in the course. Small group sizes in Koh Samui ensure that you get personal attention from our dive school's PADI professionals.
Small group size allows you to work at a pace that is comfortable for you, relaxed and stress-free.  On the open water dives days, we use surface interval and boat journey time, from Koh Samui to the dive site and back, to review PADI Open Water course marital and prepare for the open water dives.

Where can I go from here?
Continue your dive education with PADI's Adventures in Diving program, your next step in exploring the underwater world or PADI Advance Open Water Diver course.  Searobin Dive Center in Koh Samui and your PADI dive instructor will be have more information on the PADI Adventures in Diving program.
