PADI Advanced Open Water Diver - Exploration, Excitement, Experiences |

The Advanced Open Water Diver course helps you increase your confidence and build your scuba skills so you can become more comfortable in the water. This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of our PADI instructor. This course builds on what you've learned and develops new capabilities by introducing you to new activities and new ways to have fun scuba diving.
You don't have to be "advanced" to take it - it's designed so you can go straight into it after the PADI Open Water Diver course.
You'll hone your skills by completing five adventure dives that introduce you to:
- Underwater navigation
- Deeper water diving
- A sampler of three more Adventure Dives of your choice

One reason you'll love the Advanced Open Water Diver course is that you and your instructor choose from 15 types of Adventure Dives to complete your course. You can try your hand at digital underwater photography, wreck diving, night diving, diving with underwater scooters, Enriched Air Diver (Nitrox), peak performance buoyancy and much more.
There are no formal classroom sessions involved with this course, but you will need to read through the PADI "Adventures in Diving" manual for the adventure dives you select prior to participating in the training dives. Taking the course introduce you to new experiences, new skills, lots of diving and thrilling adventures! So take your diving to new limits!
Get credit! Each Adventure Dive in the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course may credit toward the first dive of the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver course. |

The knowledge and skills you get in the Advanced Open Water Diver course vary with your interest and the adventures you have, but include
- Practical aspects of deep diving
- Physiological effects of deeper scuba diving.
- More ways to use your underwater compass
- How to navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time
- How to better use your dive computer and electronic Recreational Dive PlannerTM (eRDPTM)
- And much, much more, depending on the Adventure Dives you choose
Searobin's PADI Advanced Open Water Diver lasts only two days for a group size of maximum of 4 people. However, if you prefer we can assign private instructor just for you.

PADI Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying certification from another organization)
Minimum age: 15 (12 for PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver)
You are not require to get medical clearance to take the Advanced Open Water Diver course. However, please take a look at the PADI medical statement and should you answer yes to any of the questions, please consult a physician before signing up for the course. |

Your Next Adventure
After you've tried a specialty in the Advanced Open Water Diver course, you'll probably want to take the whole course and learn more about one of the the specialty of your choice.
You can combine your Advanced Open Water Diver course training with the PADI Enriched Air (NITROX) Diver Course by adding just one day to your course (Divers at least 15 years of age).
PADI Advanced Open Water Divers at least 15 years of age can continue on to the PADI Rescue Diver or Junior Rescue Diver course. |
