  Ron Yaary
Our General Manager Ron

Our General Manager, Ron, is originally from the Czech Republic but moved to the USA as a kid where he later created a career in IT industry and was a partner in a computer learning center in San Francisco. Ron first dive in Thailand in 1983 and got hooked straight away! Amazing diving in warm water in this friendly country got him thinking... After the boom and bust of the IT industry in America Ron decided that it is good time for a change and moved on to Koh Samui over 7 years ago.

Ron had an idea of working for a dive center that would focus on providing safe, high-quality diving courses and relaxed fun dives with personal attention paid to each diver. To accomplish this, Ron have formed an interesting, fun group of professional dive instructors that been working with searobin for few years.

Partnering with Searobin owners seems to be a perfect fit as the owners let Ron run the daily operations and seem to come around just for fun diving and for the dive center biannual barbeque parties.

Ron can answer any question you might have, or if he can't then he will know whom to ask. If you have any special requests such as arranging a private charter for your dive trip, how to get to Samui, or how to do or get practically anything, ask Ron’s advice and he will do it for you - in English, Thai and some Hebrew!

  Todd Hutchins
Todd our padi Instructor

Ratings; PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, PADI Emergency First Respons Instructor.
Languages;English
Specialties; Enrich Air Nitrox, Wreck diver, UW naturalist, Deep Diving, Night diver.

Todd joined the team in early 2007 as an instructor and we soon discovered that we had hit the jackpot as he must be the most patient person of the planet! Todd makes you feel like you had known each other for years already on the first minute, so the dives he leads and the courses he teaches are always very relaxed and low-stress. He is from the United States, but after diving for more than 10 years – sometimes in cold, dark waters – and then after diving in Thailand's Pattaya Beach and Thailand's west coast, he then chose to move to Samui because he wanted to live in a relaxing and warm tropical paradise where he could go diving every single day.
Having logged hundreds of dives on Gulf of Thailand dive sites, he knows where to find the moray eels, the alpheids and the nudibranchs, and other interesting marine creatures. Todd is both an enthusiastic naturalist and a technical diver, so after the day's dives he is always eager to discuss anything ranging from marine ecology to decompression theory -- or any other topics which might arise.

  Mira Ervasti
Mira our dive master

Ratings; PADI dive master
Languages;English
, Finnish
The newest member of Searobin Dive Center is a Finnish girl, Mira, who got tired of the cold North and packed her bags to travel around Southeast Asia. She planned to visit Samui briefly but ended up doing a divemaster course and staying permanently after seeing what treats our island has to offer.

Ask her recommendations if you are looking for great nightclubs or after-party places, or wish to hear something about the Finnish national hero, Santa Claus. Mira speaks fluent Finnish and English but after a little persuasion you might get a reply in Swedish or German as well. If you wish to hear something about dry suits or find out how it feels to dive under ice, she is the one to talk to.

  Anat Promodero
Anat our diving shop staff Anat is part of our sales staff and you will meet her and her big smile when you visit our Choengmon dive center. She speaks excellent English, although time to time it may seem that this talkative member of our team speaks too much!
Anat is originally from Suratthani but has lived on Samui most of her life so she is well aware of the newest restaurants, shops and hotels of the island. Ask her help if you are looking for ideas and she might teach you few phrases of Thai at the same time if you are lucky. Anat joined the team four years ago and ended up getting stuck with us as the way of doing business matched her views – such as providing a friendly smile and personalized attention to each diving student or certified diver. Anat is very interested in diving and can advise you at which Koh Samui dive site a whale shark was last seen and what is the best dive site at the moment.
Long experience with Searobin Dive Center and the great pride she takes in finding the best solution for our divers makes her an irreplaceable part of us. Come in and find out the reason yourself!
